The forum is here.

I created the forum after reading Zyborgs Aspergianism thread. I'm not as radical as him, but I agree with some points: a nation composed mostly of Aspies would be a good thing. Why? Because it would allow the governemtn system to be geared towards Aspies, and not NTs. The cultural social stuff would be more straight forward. The people would reach emotional maturity slower, but when they do they'd have greater Empathy and ToM. This could allow us to act as an intermediary in conflicts around the world. Greater rationality would allow us to see solutions instead of problems.

It would be entirely voluntary. You don't have to live there if you don't want to, but my hope is that you would want to.

Dream on. And on what territory would this new nation be established. There are no longer any extensive habitable but unihabited areas left on the planet. Should Asperbonia be established on the anti Arctic continent, or perhaps in Tierra del Fuego after the Hotentots are driven away.

If you get another couple of people interested you might form an army of one general, one non-com, and one private. Then you can persuade a rich Arab nation to finance your army to chase the Israelis out of Israel and take over as long as you converted to Islam.

The Antarctic is not only part of one state, but of multiple states (with a lot of nice border disputes to come - because the claims are overlapping) . Even the UK claims a significant share of Antarctica. In the Arctic is race is already opened. The main players are: The US (in this case in a strategical alliance with the EU) versus Canada - and all three together versus Russia.

---

To found a state you need to establish three main criteria:

1) A territory
2) The possibility to exercise the typical powers invested in states (iure imperium)
2) Subjects - euphemistic called people

Unfortunately for you: There is no territory worldwide on which no state has a claim. In some cases even more than one state.

Ocean colonies.

There is still a large part of unclaimed land in Antartica. Indeed, technically it's all unclaimed, because none of the claims are recognised. Eventually it will come down to who is living there, i.e. who bothers to esablish a colony.

Although I'd rather go with an ocean colony, because it's easier and can go anywhere in the world.

So the obvious solution is to get a sailboat and crew of two or three and sail into the marine unknown and declare yourself a nation. Count me out.

No. The boat would have to be a decent size, maybe a converted Thames barge. Or four, they can be connected together.

I'm not particularly acquainted with the problems of inclement weather at sea but my general feeling is that if your craft is not submersible you might have a rather short national existence.

I joined because I can't stand seeing empty forums. :P

I think you'll have to work on that idea a little bit...

Silly idea.

Still, go read http://www.amazon.ca/Millennial-Project ... 0316771635 its a fascinating book.

Also read up on arcologies, and you might as well play the role playing game paranoia.

A far better idea would be a private community.

The concept of running away from general society to create a special social environment is something of an indication of an admittance that AS people are basically inferior and cannot compete within normal contexts. Why accept that?

Nonsense! We cannot even paraterraform Rhode Island.
