Anyone who believes Ann Coulter isn't a liar, just do a search on "Ann Coulter" and lies. I'm not going to paste her lies here because that kind of debate isn't worth the trouble. She's a liar and most people know it.

As for Jenny and her McCarthism, she's a liar, too, stating autism can be cured. Occasionally people have snapped out of what looked like autism with or without therapy and there are no good explanations about why it happens but you can bet there are people who loudly claim credit for it.

"Googling" something seldom provides validity. We need peer reviewed print.
Two can play it that game:

Keith Olbermann lies:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ei=A ... es&spell=1

Nancy Pelosi lies:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Na ... oq=&aqi=g5

The extremes are playing to audiences and it must be said that if you will not consider listening to the other side you will not give them a chance.

I find Cato.org and the Lew Rockwell sites to be very well written and about as objective as possible while maintaining their economic philosophies.

I try to keep an open mind because I need to keep a clear head to be a good advocate for my profoundly autistic daughter. I'm staying as realistic as I can because I'm going to die someday and it scares me to leave her. If she were cured, became NT and married a boring NT guy and wasn't autistic like the rest of my family, I'd celebrate. I worry about her so I won't keep my head in the sand but my strong desire to see her able to fend for herself and thrive doesn't mean I'll let myself be lead around by the nose by people who make up stuff and pretend it's science.

Sometimes the Cato Institute makes interesting points to ponder. I don't know anything about Lew Rockwell. I don't pay attention to people like Ann Coulter who get attention by acting like a car wreck.

*makes time-out gesture*

Let's get back to our topic, guys.
This thread is supposed to be about the thanks, genuine or sarcastic, that we offer to Jenny McCarthy. Quarrels about who the worst liar is, especially when they don't refer to Jenny McCarthy, do not belong here.

All right then, time is back in; game on!

Thank you for pointing out my spelling mistake, I knew there had to be something’positive to take away from this forum and if it is only the correct use of the English language. I am extremely ‘obliged’.

I'm just shocked that anybody is taking a Playboy Playmate seriously at all.

That was very sexist, arrogant and assumptive. What does her past have to do with anything? Is that how we judge people? Maybe more people would listen to her if she were representative of some minority and a Harvard grad?

Sexist? The point was, she has done PORN. I wouldn't take a male pornstar at all seriously on this issue either. You are the one being assumptive here.

I am not drawing a parallel between McCarthy and the following person, but let's take your argument to an extreme. I'm sure Charles Manson is a great guy; sure, he's done some bad things in his past, but is that really how we judge people?

Of course it is! It's pretty damn difficult to judge people based on their futures.

Also, "if she were representative of a minority"? Did I mention race at all? Even once? No.

It looks like her only claim to fame was from exposure in Playboy until she started this cult of hers. A lot of very interesting, intelligent people have posed for Playboy but Playboy wasn't the pinnacle of their careers.

And I say on my own band wagon (shouting through a very large megaphone), autism is NOT caused by vaccinations! There is NO cure for it either.

No, she's not talking about her kid, but another kid she knows (read the post at the top there). Her son gets shots and seems better after them, although one of the more recent ones gave him seizures and scared her.

If you'd like to weigh in further on her behalf, you could go back and read all her posts too. There aren't that many and most of the recent ones are self-deleted.

I do not know where this is coming from, my son does not get shots but he had his last vaccination at 18 month where he had several seizures at that point....

he is not on any Jenny Mc Carthy recommended diet, he just eats healthy.

I just started that thread because of another thread I found rather appalling :

"Jenny McCarthy - The Doctors".

I said I do know of a boy with Asperger's Syndrome ( he went to my sons school) who is on a gluten free diet, according to his mom he throw tantrums at school and after she put him on this diet he was functioning better and had not to be given any medication.

My son is NOT on a gluten free diet, I never said or wrote this. My son does not get any shots of any sorts, vaccination or otherwise.

I am by all means no fan, friend etc. of Jenny mc Carthy, but she did a lot of good things for a lot of people who feel their children are doing better and that is a fact.

Her use of her sexuality is beside the point. Playboy playmate or no, the fact of the matter is that she's an idiot. Let's review the facts: she got her degree from google, whenever someone disagrees with her she compensates for her lack of logic with volume of voice and of cursing, and has admitted she has never met an autistic adult. What, does she think we mysteriously vanish off the planet at age 18?

True, some children have benefited from gluten free, casein free diets that she recommends--but it's more of nice side effect than anything else. One thing I think we can all agree on, is that whole, she has done much more damage to autistic people and the people who love them than if she kept the teachings of that prophetic gut to herself.

It always humours me when someone questions at what place others got their degree from.
There are plenty of people with high degrees who caused much damage to society in the whole, especially when it comes to politics.
A degree in my opinion is not a measure of intelligence.
A lot of AS/NT people are not good with words and curse etc. in the heat of the moment when the feel attacked , so they are all idiots?

True, people with high degrees have caused much damage to society. And true again, many people are not good with words when angry. It's her consistent "it's- true-because-I-know-it's-true" mantra without any hard evidence to back it that makes her an idiot. It's responding to all inquiries by shouting "Vaccines did it, vaccines did it.!I know because my son was fine before vaccines and something changed after!" There's no debating with someone who is already convinced they are right and every one who believes something contrary to their beliefs is wrong--but don't take my word for it. Watch some of her press releases, read her book louder than words, make your own decision.

So there's my two cents, but money's only paper. You decide what it's worth.
