I just wrote that Dead Poet's society subject because I like the movie. Anyone like some dead philosophers? I love Jack London. He's dead though. Any new Jack London types here? I'm a monk, so it's not like I'm searching for love. But, I secretly like to believe that Jack London was my ex-husband in a past life. It's not true. I would have done him tho... I mean married him and wiped his ass as an old man...

Perhaps I did not really get into the spirit of Dead Poets Society, because when I saw it my favourite scene was the one where the obnoxious kid stood up to read his poem "The cat ... sat ... on the mat".

That made me LOL.

Being serious though, if I want to read the work of poets, I'd probably choose dead ones.

This is the dumbest thread ever. I had too much wine last night I guess and got sentimental over Jack London.

Well if we can't laugh at ourselves, laugh at other people making fools of themselves.
