For many years, there were claims that Nostradamus predicted massive wars in the 1990s, that the "third antichrist" would wear a white turban. The Star Trek Khan character is based on this interpretation. This did not come to pass, of course.
I do remember that when the whole crisis over Iraq taking over Kuwait happened there were attempts to scare people by claiming that this was proof that the wars of the 1990s were upon us...
Sometime around 1980 when I first started playing with computers,
there were two nutty people who were telling me that it wouldn't be
global thrmonewclear war with USSR but the rise of arabs that would
end the world. In the 1990s I thought that the first Bush invading Iraq
would piss off the arabs and since the cold war ended I was very upset
about the ideas given to me by those nutty people, especially the idea
that arabs have hated others esp jews ever since abraham forked his
family tree with isaac and ishmael thousands of years ago, that is a long
time to make enemies, if it is true. The other thing the nutty people vexed
me with was the idea of 666 meaning the mark of the beast as chip implants
already in pets and livestock (but not yet in 1980 when told this) to be
used as ID in enslaved human beings by the UN (which was very irrelevant
in 1980) but in 1990s, animal ID chip implants were invented and some
people have been guinea pigs for this RFID stuff. And more, in the 1990s,
two years in a row, there was an unknown holiday where people walked
around town (in New York) in white turbans all day and sang all night and
I had a dream (of a typically inaccurately prognosticating type) that the
songs were a prayer either to fill the earth with doom or something like
the story by Doctor Seuss "Horton Hears a Who".
I don't believe anything I just said I heard is a true prohecy except the
emergence of RFID chips, but I really wonder where this info originated.
I suppose the post I responding to gives a clue why this would be imagined
by nutty people in 1980, these nutty people are like people who have lost
touch with consensus reality altogether and sleep in the streets but not
in that condition yet. I suppose that obsession with Nostradamus may be
one source, but there is implied exposure to top secret mad science, or
maybe hallucinogenic nerve agents in Viet Nam War or something like that.
I have some withheld and unusual prognostic nonsense, including a tape
recording, made in 1984, when reagan was president, of a voice that identifies
as "satan" saying that Bush (which one) would be involved in a newclear war. Satan
lies, by definition, is a liar, and neither Bush dropped nukes, and the cold war
is over, but the peculiar thing is how persons places and things are mentioned,
before they were possibly
relevant, and that
neither was either Bush in 1984.
The tape recording was from a radio station, 104.7 MHz FM. Nobody else as
far as I know, knows what I am talking about, nor would I dare mention it during
the apparently predicted times.
Nostradamus, and everything I mentioned are in my opinion false prophecies,
and RFID could be explained as being a "self-fulfilling prophecy", that is evil
people disregarded the evil nature of RFID technology and created it anyway.
(Possession of such detailed identifying information is a claim of ownership,
not a good tool for law enforcement; and the foundation of enabling crimes of
identity theft; identification by enumeration had also long before demonized
Social Security Numbers and Bar Codes as candidate Marks and Numbers of
the "beast", among those watching and waiting for the brief appearance of
"antichrist" followed by unprecedented trouble and then unprecedented peace.)
