Psychopaths are noted for their lust for power and their ability to schmooze, flatter, cajole, blackmail, and threaten their way to it. They'll also lie, cheat, and manipulate others to get what they want since they lack any genuine compassion for others. These things sound like especially apt descriptions of Republicans in their frenzy to take back Congress in 2010. Certainly, it has applied to some of the most vicious, genocidal régimes over time as well. What say you of the role the psychopath plays in politics?

News flash: this is not by any means limited to republicans. Why do you think when the dems are in power and NOTHING gets done to fix the schools and such? They don't actually care, they just want an issue to flog for the next election and make it APPEAR that they care so people will vote for them. Or in jurisdictions where the dems have been in local power for like ever and the place is falling apart around the seams? Caring and politics don't necessarily go together. I find it odd you do not see these very qualities you decry, in your own president?

BTW this is in the wrong forum.

Hahaha.

Charlie Manson had quite a few women and besides murder, they pretty much participated in orgies all day. And night. Hmmm, that psychopath thing all of sudden doesn't sound so bad. Course' I'm smarter than Ol' Charley over there and indiscriminately killing people is a bad idea. The orgies and attempted world domination though, that sounds fun.
