No, it looks pretty dominionist to me, not anarchist. They seem explicitly to want to replace the nation's leaders and take back the evil government.

I think you are engaging in a misunderstanding. (although maybe I am because I didn't listen to the entire thing because it is boring)

Extreme conservative Christians are not often anarchists, but they often hold to the traditional protestant views where the government was originally created by God and should serve God. What this means is that they really just want to take over society and government so that way they can get rid of the devilry in the government. Their opposition to government is more based upon this view of things.

Christian anarchists, however, tend to be relatively liberal and belong more to pacifist and emergent Christian groups. They are more likely to accept traditional anarchist views of the US's actions. They tend to have some secular influences, often continental philosophers and anarchists. They also really want to abolish government due to the nature of power-relations and replace them with very non-hierarchical social groups.

Though, once again I could just be misunderstanding the issue, but y'know, this is conservative pentacostal, anarchists tend to be liberal anabaptists.

Christians scare me. I was horribly bullied by them in church and now I am extremely distrusftul of anyone who calls themself one. If they copped that kind of attitude in acient Rome, it's no wonder they were fed to lions and such. Ghandi once said, "I like your Christ, but I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ"

Be afraid, BE VERY AFRAID!! ! We care about your soul, even though you don't!! !! MuhhahahahaAAAAAAAAAAA!! !! !! !! !

Seriously though, I was also bullied in church (P.K.s stink in general). However, bullies are ubiquitous and nonsectarian.

Surely child abuse trumps free speech laws. Because this is what the video depicts. Maybe one day we as a society will realise that church abuse is not only when filthy priests molest kids bodies but also occurs when delusional nutjobs molest their minds.

What's the abuse though?

I mean "mental molestation" is fun to say, but how do you really prove it? How do you prevent such a tool from just being a matter of social control rather than presumably the welfare of the children?

How would there be differentiation between "mental molestation" from being taught in a Christian environment as compared to being taught in a non-Christian environment? Both environments advocate either for or against partisan views and both environments advocate either for or against sectarian views. In this sense, people are "mentally molested" in both types of environments, whether it is at church or at the nearest government operated educational facility. So really, it is a matter of how people prefer to have their minds molested. Since the people in question are actual children, they don't have complete say of where they go, such as some parents mandate church attendance and the state mandates attendance to its variety of public "mental molestation".

And we'll do the same to anyone who teaches their children about Marxism and class warfare.

What would you do if a time traveler brought Karl Marx and Thomas Paine back to the 2nd century AD and had them duke it out as gladiators?

See somehow I don't see you going to or supporting the sort of fundamental church depicted in the video. I do not regard your average Christian upbringing to be molestation. For the record I do not see you as delusional, wrong yes, but certainly not delusional. As someone who revels in free thinking and the advancement of science, I would also be surprised if you Orwell were not outraged by the video. I suspect others on this forum may very well attend such churches, and for those that do I reserve my utter contempt.

I am very opposed to the brainwashing of kids for whatever cause. Kids should be allowed to be kids, to explore, invent, discover. They should not be taught to live in fear of god, other races, or political ideologies

Where's the abuse? Some things in life kids need to learn from an early age to be fearful of e.g. picking up snakes and spiders, running in front of cars, getting into vehicles with complete strangers etc. but to indoctrinate young kids making them fearful of gods wrath, fearful that if they do not believe then they will go to hell, fearful that non belief will cause them to be ostracized from their families (opening line to the vid 'there are two types of people in the world ....), have them feel the need to choose their friends along religious lines,
be ashamed of their natural childlike behavior in the playground, is mental molestation.

To take young kids and indoctrinate them in such a way disgusts me.

I'm not sure how you came up with the term "anarchist" to describe what is going on this video. Anarchism is the polar opposite of what is being done to these kids. Anarchism is about maximal freedom and autonomy, without coercion or the enforcement of any kind of authoritarian obedience to authority. It rejects domination and hierarchy and respects free will and the freedom of people to make their own choices.

Anarchists are usually opposed to religion, because it's very often used as a way of dominating people and demanding that they blindly obey their religious leaders. The only Christian anarchists I know of are the Catholic Worker, which IMO is a very noble organization that works to help oppressed people.

Actually, I'm in favor of anarchy. As for Biblical basis, confer with what it says in 1st Samuel 8:6-18 regarding an earthly king.

You know, if you replace one of the a's of anarchist with an i, you can use the letters to make christian. o.O

I guess we should called anarchist christians, "anarchrist"? :p (just joking around ^^; )

Oh, there's a lot more Christian anarchists than that group.

http://christarchy.ning.com/
http://www.jesusradicals.com/
http://www.jesusmanifesto.com/

(All 3 websites are closely related to each other but still)

There are also a number of intellectual figures to be associated with Christian anarchism:
Leo Tolstoy
Jacques Ellul
Greg Boyd
Mark Van Steenwyk
and many others

And a lot of them are not Catholic. Tolstoy was a liberal Protestant. Jacques Ellul was a Protestant social critic and sociologist. Greg Boyd is conservative Open Theist Protestant. Mark Van Steenwyk is a postmodern anabaptist, etc.

And there are a number of Christians who are not so much Christian anarchists but some variant of anarchist (yes, I am so loose to consider anarcho-capitalists to be anarchists) that happens to be Christian, such as a number of fellows with the Mises institute, including economist Bob Murphy and a number of others.
