http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/notro ... decisions/

Research has shown that physical realities can impact more abstract decision making about reality. Essentially meaning that the cognitive processes involved with our more abstract ideas are in some sense borrowed from more basic things. What does this suggest about the workings of the human mind? What does this suggest about evolutionary theory? Does this kind of idea make sense with more metaphysical notions, such as Platonism or many forms of theism?

The mind that we are conscious of is but a minor player in the cooperative community of the total organism. There is no body-mind separation. The total organism integrates and produces action.
