Apparently Ayn Ran's books are becoming popular in the Indian subcontinent. How will this effect India?

I have said bad things about Ayn Rand in this site before in the past but I still think there could be a positive side to this. Ayn Rand was proudly anti-racist and her writings could cool down Indian caste warfare.

I am sure Rand's books will influence India about as much as they have influenced the United States.

Very interesting, I noticed this myself. I love it, personally.

"Asia" and "individualism" are two words that aren't often used together.

Wasn't there an article a month ago about Hitler beng popular as a business guru in India, about how all aspiring businessmen pick up Mein Kampf to learn how to compete?

When I saw the topic title, I was imagining Miss Rand actually going to India and getting all spiritual, like the Beatles did.

We may have the makings of a brilliant parody.

It would seem to be the opposite

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/06/2 ... ee-itself#

As in the USA, it is primarily the upper-caste Indians who see in Miss Rand a justification for their power and socio-economic superiority, and the rejection of charity and altruism, in a country where 465 million people live on less than $1.25 per day.

In the USA, Miss Rand presently serves as a rallying cry for class warfare. It is the same in India.
