Here's a question I hate getting from creationists.
"Do you want to be just a monkey?"
Yes I do want to be a monkey. I like monkeys. Monkeys are fun-loving and adorable, just like me. Also, mokeys protect their childern from harm. They are noble animals.

Another one I hate.
"If you're just a monkey, why don't you just act like one?"
Two Words: Social Conditioning. I've heard atheists mention that much of human behavior comes from social conditioning, so I don't think it's taboo or anything to mention it. We don't act like animals mostly because we've been conditioned to act like civilized humans.

Well it has nothing to do with want.

dmk.....when you leave middle school and enter high school, you will study b-i-o-l-o-g-y-. you will learn, well, at least someone will attempt to teach you, about evolution. you will be shown that humans are not descended from 'monkeys'. humans and other primates evolved from a common ancestor. long time ago. there was not a scene similar to that in 2001/space odyssey. not a monkey, and magic, a human.

i'm sure you will not believe a foolish peta member such as i, SO GO LOOK IT UP.

I am an ape, but I certainly wouldn't mind having a prehensile tail like a monkey.

It depends on what form of classfication you use. One form of classification (Linnaean classifacation I believe it is called) describes apes and monkeys as seperate. Another form of classificaton (phylogenic classification I believe it is called) classifies apes as a subset of monkeys and technically classifies humans as monkeys, reptiles, amphibians and lobe-finned fish as a result. In phylogenic classification all groups are part of all groups they are descended from.

So, as it turns out I do know what I'm talking about. Humans are monkeys and descendents of other monkeys.

Also, what made you think I'm in middle school when I'm eighteen? Stop being condescending.

dmk: still wrong in your assumptions. i'll stop being condescending when you decide on the correct spelling of CLASSIFICATION..........like i said, middle school.

I suspect you will find a reason to continue your condescension. But your promise should act as a good motivator.

I have been brain scanned, medically examined and tested in all sorts of ways and there is no doubt I exist in a human body but there's this other thing in here with me that has odd ideas and strange unexpected skills and it keeps showing me dreams of things I know nothing about. Looking around at other "humans" I have no idea what goes on in their minds to create such a frightening society. I wouldn't take bets on what I am.

Sands are best recognised by their inability to communicate with human beings, despite their language sounding very similar to English. One hypothesis suggests that, while the words humans use are the same as those used by an adult sand, the meaning of those words is different.

Recently sands have shown themselves capable of learning how to communicate with other humans via written English. Why sands are capable of communicating in writing but not capable of applying those same rules to spoken English has baffled the scientific community for years. Sands are considered an endangered species as there is only one sand on the entire planet. Why the rest of the species died out remains a mystery.
