According to the Bible, Jesus stole a limosine (literally a donkey) to drive through the streets of Jerusalem for a ticker tape parade on Palm Sabbath (Sunday).

Theft (car highjacking)(donkey theft) is against the law.

Is that the reason Jesus was dispatched by the local Jerusalem politicians on Friday - for car theft (theft of a donkey)?

(Source for the reported donkey theft: Matthew gospel, New Testament of the Bible)

This post reminds me of the TV show 'History Bites'.

I'm trying to imagine Jesus driving a limo.

No doubt he would be very very good at it. And depending on his water into the flexibility of his wine trick, he'd never run out of fuel.

I don't know about a theft, but according to The Jesus Dynasty by James Tabor, he rode on the ass because he knew it was prophesied that the savior would ride in on one.

That seems to be a recurrent theme. King David pulled that routine off as well, as did a few others.

If you would read further, you would know that the owner talked to the Jesus' disciples and let them have the donkey.

Jesus sent his buddies out to get an ass and an ass foal so who could do a drive-by prophecy fulfillment.

Scruffy itinerant sword wielders show up looking for some ass, I'm inclined to give them what they want peacefully.

a couple of things first how do you know who's telling the truth? what if that was added to coverup what jesus said?

being a christian i thought you were supose to believe evrything jesus said and not anything else in the universe, either way the whole situation seems fishy to me

That receipt would be hard to get hold of, being 2000 years old and all.
