does any1 really have a good definition of a soul?
i was thinking about it, and concluded anything that exists, such that the world around it exists from it's point of view, has a soul. it's soul being the concept of the world from its point of view. this would mean a tree has a soul, a rock, an animal, and of course, people.
who agrees? who disagrees? who has their own definition of a soul, or some kind of official definition from their religion or w/e?

My best defintion of "SOUL" is the spiritual part of you that lives on and will never die.

immaterial living fragment of conciousness....

inhibiting a body, being affected by matter around it or in the body, but able to change its nature without any physical help sometimes.

its like the microsoft windows program in the computer.

some beings have higher souls than others,in the world we humans dominate.

A soul is the immaterial collection of drive(the knowledge of what one must do), force(the ability to connect to reality to forward drive), and will(the resolve to change the reality or status of something). It is virtually the entire consciousness and psyche(I believe the body has a level of conscious operation itself, it just cannot display as easily). Though a soul is not necessary to operate, it seems to be if one wishes to operate beyond a purely repetitious and mechanical level. On a gnostic level, the soul represents truth, while the body represents falsehood.

I believe that the soul is the part of you that gives you life. As long as the soul stays in the body, a person lives. When the soul leaves the body, the person passes away. I don't know what happens to the soul in the afterlife. Then again, Judaism doesn't have a clearly defined concept of the afterlife, so my beliefs in the existence of a soul are rather vague to begin with.

You have two souls.
Look at the bottom of your feet; you will see them both.

I mostly am aware of my soul due to its pain. this is most of the time. So i suppose I am convinced that I have one.

Indeed, these are the only souls you have.

The superior frontal gyrus seems to be responsible for self-awareness.

It seems well differentiated from the physical pain I feel as flowing from my body, and the intellectual numbness that I can acquire if I momentarily overtax my brain. I do not say that it is spiritual - I do not know what a spirit is. But it is not physical, it is not intellectual. I call it soul.

Souls are why I chop people's heads of with my sword and absorb their power.

In mortal terms, I "eat" souls like you "eat" KFC.
