Has the time come to rebuild the Temple at Jersualem? Or would that not be a good idea if animal sacrifice is banned by the United Nations/the SPCA? Could paper mache images of animals be substituted for real animals instead? Would God today find paper mache animals more pleasing or would God insist on the real thing?

Not yet. The Moisheach (Messiah) has not yet come. And there are two mosques sitting on the site. It will take an "act of God" to demolish the mosques (say a big honking earthquake or a meteor from out space wrecking the mosques).

Maybe god could act through some kind of revelation and make people throw a bomb there?

According to the prophets when the 3rd temple is operating there will only be meal offerings. No more blood offerings.

I understand that the eventual reconstruction of the Temple at Jerusalem is important to Judaism and Christian eschatology, but I hope you realize the gravity of this comment. The mosques on the Temple Mount aren't just any mosques-- they're the al-Asqa Mosque and Dome of the Rock. The Dome is one of the most sacred sites in Sunni Islam, aside from the Kaaba in Mecca and Mosque of the Prophet in Medina. This is believed by Sunni Muslims to be the very place where Muhammad ascended to heaven with Gabriel. If someone were to bomb the Dome of the Rock-- say, a non-Muslim-- that would be an all-out declaration of war upon the entire Islamic world.

That temple will never be built. Even trying to rebuild it should be considered an act of war. I don't believe in any prophecy but I certainly take people at their word when they say they want to bring about Armageddon. What I take it as is a direct threat against me and my family.

What should a sane person do when a nuclear armed nation attempts to bring about a prophecy of Armageddon? It would be more than just a declaration of war on Muslims it would be a declaration of war on anyone who doesn't believe in fairy tales.

Some think the Al-Aqsa mosque is actually the third temple.

They are wrong. At the Jewish Mikdash, Priests i.e. Cohanim oversee the sacrifices. However Muslims will be very welcome to attend the services when the Third Temple (Mikdash) is rebuilt.

I am sure you believe they will be very grateful.

I have no idea. I will be long dead whenever this happens if ever.

The Israeli government is going to take rigorous steps to protect the mosques on the temple mount. If anything bad should happen to them, natural or man-made every Muslim over the age of five will strap on suicide explosive packs and go after the Jews. There is no defense against that kind of insanity.

Since Jews and Christians and Muslims worship the same god (in theory), wouldn't it be nice if they could get together and build the biggest and most beautiful temple that was ever built dedicated to the one true god?

As soon as the Israelis accept back all the Palestinians they ethnic cleansed and include them in the population as equal Israeli citizens it seems likely that something of the sort can be worked out.

Not a snowball's chance in hell. If the Israelis caved, the first thing the Palestinians would do is complete what Hitler started.

Before the establishment of Israel and the forcible removal of a huge number of Palestinians by Israeli forces the Palestinians and the Jews got along quite well together.

Actually, they didn't. From time to time fighting would break out. This was before there was a modern state of Israel.

There was a major rumble at dar es yasin back in 1927. The Jews actually won that one.

As soon as the U.N. partitioned Palestine the Arab speaking folk picked up their guns and started killing Jews. But this time the Jews fought back and won.

Please do not tell me how honky dory it was before the State of Israel. It wasn't. It only seemed that way because the Brits kept a lid on the kettle which was coming to a boil.

It is like saying how peaceful Yugoslavia was when Tito was alive.

Muslims will accept or tolerate Jews only if they are Dhimmi, which means second class and without rights.
