TLDR stands for "too long, didn't read", but there is a similar effect to having to try to pay attention to people talking at length: too long, couldn't listen. Yes, I will say "couldn't" instead of "didn't" because often enough, with me at least, even if I try to listen - with all the will I can muster - to the windy speeches of people, if they talk for too long I cannot pay attention. My mind will drift and I will then be unable to stay focused on what they are talking about, if not stay awake at all. I think I notice this in other people as well, and if it is so then there is some limit as to the mind's ability to give attention to continuous speech.
