Slightly OT (triggered by youtube comments) Is anyone else sick that even the conspiracy theorists hate wikileaks? I guess it is because the released stuff so far don't confirm their theories. So they will go around and call them a conspiracy/con job/Jewish trick/whatever.

I happen to hate every word that is prefixed with 'crowd'

Thought it would be relevant.

Well of course. No FEMA camps, no discussion of elaborate plots to poison the water supply or control the weather with their magic Alaskan radio stations. Just pictures of corrupt and petty diplomats, which isn't nearly sensational enough for them, so therefore it must be an intentional leak to make a pretext for some other nefarious plot.

The world is not run nearly as well as most conspiracy theorists think it is.

LOL at Anti-American. I think its more to do with the fact that the source happens to be a yank that the material concerns America more than other places. Besides, its mostly American "diplomats" being rude about other countries so far. Maybe if they learned to BE diplomatic....? I'm sure if a load of British or Saudi "leaks" dropped into Assange's lap he would publish those too, and the relevant government would start weeping about it. I get the impression that he is more "Anti-lying bastards" than anti any particular nation. Says a lot about the US that they assume its all about them.

Mentions his various leaks up to that point which included a leak of Barclay's and on Kenya (see: The Cry of Blood).

The real funny ones are the god ones. Good old Alex Jones' original core audience.

I don't have much of an opinion on Wikileaks as I am not politically active in the slightest (other than knowing my beliefs are mostly liberal). But doesn't it make sense that they could be hurting themselves in the process? I mean with all the DDOSing and other shady things Anonymous is known to do, isn't it possible that it could massively backfire and be used as a case against net neutrality?

Watch the video. They're saying they're done with the DDOS attacks.

Oh.

(And that's all I could say was "oh". And she says "Now there is somethin' else that I really think you should know. You can have unlimited refills for just a quarter more..." I say "Great, except we're in the drive thru... so what would I want that for?")
