Has modern science (2010) been able to duplicate the birth of Jesus Christ yet or is science still working on it aka using a completely invisible God from outer space as the father of a child called Jesus Christ - born to an earth woman called Mary and deemed to be a half-breed (half-God and half-human) - all fully reproducible and scientifically accurate? Modern science has figured out how to send humans to the moon and return them to earth (1969) so replicating a virgin birth should be possible - right?

Words

God (from outer space)
A God consisting of one person only
A God consisting of two persons only
A God consisting of three persons only (Trinity)
A God consisting of four or more persons

Half breeds

Good magic (Houdini)

dude, don't embarrass yourself.

For all we know, Jesus could have been conceived while Mary was asleep or raped and she was just ashamed and hiding it or she could have just been lying.

Or the whole event could just be a story.

Modern science has no problem with parthenogenesis [though some species are easier than others].

Not so great on replicating life, though.

Still, maybe some day we will make a big enough bang - if the Lord tarries.

You are assuming a nonsensical fiction (i.e. the Virgin Birth) as a fact. It is pure nonsense. Virgins do not give birth unless they have been impregnated in which case they are no long virgins.

Sometimes short virgins will do. Water fleas (daphnia) can be parthenogenetic but there is no indication that they are either Christian miracles or have magical powers. Nevertheless, I have a hunch a water flea might prove more politically effective than any of the current members of the US Congress.

hehehehehehe!

Hoho?

So I looked. One more example of the Art of the Headline. The nerdiest scientist on the team should be forced to write the report and censor all puffs.

Working model synthetic DNA ain't exactly the holy grail life startup.

I think modern science has been replicating virgin births for quite some time now, even some lesbians I know attempt it with a turkey baster, though I dont know how many where successfull.
I understand even vets are adept at replicating virgin births in cattle these days.

Mind you, modren science still has a long way to go before they can match other skills of God, for instance, they cannot make a single blade of grass, they can grow one out of an existing one, but they cannot put one together even if you present them with all the raw materials and a bolt of lightning.

And, of course, God never put together a neat sports car. We each have our specialties.

Artificial insemination isnt really "virgin birth".

But there are all female species of desert lizards that reproduce by laying fertile eggs without mating.
So virgin birth in vertabrates was a reality for millions of years (before christ) without involvement by either science or by the Holy Ghost.

True, allthough it is said Moses went across the wilderness in a Triumph or somesuch, however, much as I like and own a neat sportscar, I wouldnt say no to one of these :-

Sharing a one room apartment with a horse, whatever its price, has no appeal to me at all. Even smaller creatures like bedbugs and cockroaches, however expensive they might be and even if they are God's ingenious creations, also are not attractive.

When crossing the room to take a shower or make a scrambled egg with toast I never had the inclination to ride. Neither a horse nor a neat sports car seems necessary and the walking exercise is very healthy. Although I am now unmarried, eve a wife in bed with me wsa something of a nuisance. Sharing my bed with a horse would be extremely uncomfortable, but evidently you have different tastes.

How would doing anything the OP asked of science be beneficial to mankind? While it may have (or not) occurred to you, the "objective" sought in a research project is a serious ethical question.
