Self-nomination to godhood

In many past societies and cultures, not only did a pantheon exist, but members could be added to that pantheon of deities.

Well... seeing this, I came to a conclusion, that maybe I should get into that racket and get myself to become a god, so for that reason I decided to nominate myself to godhood. Hopefully, in doing this, I will attain that social role and the corresponding benefits of it. So... vote for me!

As self acclaimed head of the militant atheists you would lose confidence in yourself and have a miserable time. In mercy I would vote no.

Hey, I already don't believe in my own existence as is. This is just taking it to the next level! Besides, history has had gods of all sorts of different ideas. Why not atheism?

Even the number of people who might merely attend one's funeral can be greatly dependent upon the weather that day, so where might you find anyone to eternally worship you?

Well, he has not specified that being eternal worshipped is one of his goals, or that he plans to give potential worshippers eternal life so as to make that possible.

I see another problem - as an atheist, with regard to himself he would have to be an anawesomelygloriousist which is hard to say, or else an ameist, wich sounds as if he believes in Amy. I know an Amy or two, but never worshipped them.

Why else bother trying to be a god?! No immediate worship will be taking place ...

A god named awesomelyglorious has to have ambitions better than the common run-of-the-mill god.

Actually, the rule is either great ambitions or lower ambitions. I think I can strive to have lower ambitions than other gods.

If I was to acknowledge you as God, could I then get into the Strident Atheists because I believe that you don't exist?

I think that might be how things work there, NC: One must first have a strong conviction there is a true reason (an actual existence) to vehemently defy.

Only if you were willing to stridently speak against my existence, and the existence of any other notion of deity.
