Was talking to a couple of people about going back it time etc and it got me thinking about this currently hypothetical scenario.


It is present day (09/01/2011), and Im 20 years old and a conscious human being with a mind, who has decided to use my time machine i found.

I have gone back in time a few years to see my 10 year old conscious self.

I have decided to kill him.

So i do.

So what happens to my 20 year old conscious self?

I find it very difficult to understand why I would die and disipate too, so im going to presume I (my 20 year old conscious self) am still alive.

Therefore if i go back to "present day", 09/01/2011 will i be in space and time line where i have died 10 years ago (ie still have just the one timeline)

Or would i be in a time line where everything i have consciously perceived previously, has occured? (ie create 2 time lines, or maybe a parallel universe)

Nope. Far too many paradoxes, I imagine logic really holds in all instances. You can go forward in time if you like, just run really fast, or if you aren't in any rush you can just lie down on the pavement and wait twenty years.
