for the coming decade.

This is general prediction (non-metaphysical) but I decided to be on the safe side just in case things get political:

Me,

1) Something goes bankrupt
2) Abortion issue is (eventually) returned to the states
3) The entertainment industry takes a one-year "hiatus"
4) TV and movies, music would continue to downfall, but not for much longer (see above) Ke$ha is awesome, though

1. Republicans launch numerous frivolous investigations into the Obama Whitehouse, this backfires as Americans get tired with a repeat of the Clinton era politics. Obama manages to sweak through in 2012 thanks to this, the Republicans experience a reduced majroity in the House.
2. The Democrats reclaim Scott Brown's seat.
3. The United States withdraws from Afghanistan.
4. The Republicans end up only repealing parts of Neo-Dolecare (i.e. the parts which hurt the Insurance Oligopolies).
5. The World Economy faces a second dip.
6. Numerous countries, including America, push forward austerity measures. This contributes to a worsening seocnd dip in the World Economy.
7. Republicans end up controlling the Executive, House, and Senate in 2016.
8. The overton window narrows again to the favour of Anthropogenic Climate Change science.
9. Canada's economy implodes due to the unsustainable debt to income ratio Canadians possess.
10. The Progressive Conservative Party of Maintoba regains control of the Provinicial legislature in 2011.
11. Ice caps continue to recede.
12. The Liberal Party of Canada forms the Minority government in the Parliament of Canada sometime between 2012-2013.
13. The New Democratic Party of Canada caucus is reduced in parliament sometime between 2012-2013.
14. I gain a degree in Economics with a concernation in Political Economy by 2014.
15. Inuyasha will cease accusing Orwell of Academic Degree fraud.

by 2020 the United States of America will cease to exist, or become a third world dictatorship when Barry (Soetoro) Obama dissolves congress for the first time since colonial days.

by 2016 every person on earth will be mandated to have a computer chip placed in their forehead or a righthand knuckle, this will become currency, no more paper changing hands.

by 2015 a single world government will begin to take shape with russia entering the EU, and a peace treaty signed between the NHK (Northern Hemisphere Kingdom) and Israel. Dictator OhBummer will have a leading role in the war against Israel.

sometime in 2011 (good intelligence point to may 21) The Rapture will occur. Emergency measures will be taken to prevent a re-election in 2012 and 2016

I sincerely hope you're joking, because if you aren't, you really should look into what your ideological fellow travelllers - the Christian Conservative fringe extremists of the 1990s - thought of the Clinton presidency and the end of the world.

Damn, the rapture is happening so soon? And here I was hoping to have a deathbed conversion after a lifetime of wickedness.

There's some danger in the fact that the most militarily powerful nation on Earth is full of people expecting, hoping for, and running their daily lives on the notion that the rapture is comming soon.

The Rapture is superstitious nonsense.

It is quite possible that the U.S. could collapse, but this will have nothing to do with crackpot prophecy from the Book of Revelation.

These next two years will be of huge crisis due to prices.

It will either force a revolution in industry (new fuel, new something, more efficiency in regards to food production and better distribution) or a war (less people to consume) or both (this is what fixed the big depression...)

And then the decade will end.

I guess that if we take the war road, it will be NOT called World war 3. Instead, it will be called "Space war I". Because it will involve shooting satellites and exploding nukes in space (which are much worse than normal nukes).

So, I hope we just have the revolutionary innovation instead.

Can you scripturally map out this rapture business for me please?
I dont see how it can be the way you say, with Christians being taken 4 years before the One World Government, the scriptures in Revelation imply Christians will also suffer, that many of them will be killed or imprisoned for refusing to take the mark of the beast.
And the propiseis of the Outer Courtyard being trampled on by the nations for 42 months, how could that happen if the outer courtyard are wisked off to safety?

My predictions for 2011 are:-

Fanatics of a middle eastern religion with aspirations of world domination will dress up as fanatics of another middle eastern religion, they will let off a nucleur device in a city in America, they will blame it on the other middle eastern religion, so Americans will start World War 3 in Iran over it.

Global Bankers will print and sell ever larger amounts of paper money to the worlds nations with the result they will actually own the whiole world, lock stock and barrel.

The internet will be put under government control to stop people waking up to a world gone wrong and the reasons for this.

There will be many riots.

Nambo- there will be a number of people who come to Christ during the tribulation, they are the ones who will have to endure the tribulation, the "already-saved" will be gone. The "Age of Grace" will end with the rapture, it began the day Jesus rose to heaven.

Prediction:

1. The United States Supreme Court will rule that Obamacare is unconstitutional.

2. There will be violence in the streets of France and Belgium from riots as those two countries suffer bankruptcy.

3. More and more Americans will become disenchanted with the Obama administration.

4. Republicans take the Senate in 2012 and the Presidency, and start cutting the budget to attempt to deal with the crushing debt.

One thing I both predict and hope for is that the existence of proud, non-assimilationist queer and transgender people will slowly be recognized, and that people will begin to value us for what we are and recognize our desires for liberated selves and happy, unencumbered lives as valid.

God will appear simultaneously in all the world capitals and on all TV sets and mobile telephones. He will thank everybody for cooperating in a very interesting experiment. He will say that it was a reasonable first attempt but one cannot expect success on an initial trial. Nevertheless He has learned a great deal and is now formulating a new idea. Unfortunately humans seem no capable of performing well so they will be eliminated in all future trials. He will then vanish and so will everything else

There will be a certain time period right after God vanishes when people will be permitted to accommodate themselves to the closing down and God will graciously permit discussion and personal adjustments. There will be factions that will believe it is some sort of advertisement for a new sparkling beverage or for a Japanese automobile corporation but when some people will turn transparent and float off into the sky while others will puddle into amorphous blobs a few hard headed groups will finally concede something unusual is occurring. God, always on the lookout for drama, will perform a final clap of thunder and dazzling flash of lightning will leave everybody in darkness as the Sun turns into strawberry ice cream and the Moon really does become cheese. But this will only demonstrate the Almighty's great sense of humor and the universe will quickly fizzle down to nothing in the Big Suck.

It strikes me as a symptom of a larger desperate need not to be involved in the world's large and rapidly growing problems and uncertainties. People pretend they don't exist (global warming, environmental devastation, oppression and injustice of all kinds), pretend they don't matter (environmental devastation and cruelty to animals come to mind), or just bury their heads in the sand far enough to where they can declare that the Rapture or the 2012 Thingy or whatnot is coming, so it doesn't matter if they consume more resources in an hour than some starving child in Ethiopia is able to consume in a month.

Such ideas probably gather steam in particularly uncertain and confusing times, and with the constantly multiplying panoply not just of problems but of information about the world around us that first world citizens face, we can only expect them to become more popular over time, taking different shapes as the Rapture or whatever it's being called at the moment continually fails to occur...

Quite right. It has nothing to do with Revelations.

It is all about the Mayan prophesy or perhaps Nostradamus.

Actually, Revelations says nothing about "The Rapture". Some nutjob preacher in America invented that back around 1850.

He hinged the whole elaborate thing on a very specific reading of a few solitary lines of scripture, if I recall correctly. Not much of a prophecy, that.
