King David Hotel, Iron Fist Operations, letter bombs posted to British officials, Irgun, Stern Gang, Unit 101 and the Qibya Massacre, The South Lebanon Army, Sabra and Shatila, the assassinations to avenge Munich, the murder of Count Folke Bernadotte... the Civil Patrols in Guatemala and the Model Villages with people working "without remuneration", Jose Efrain Rios Montt and his Christian fundy tyranny - he thanked a certain country for his taking power - "the Israeli soldier is a model and an example of us", said Benedicto Lucas Garcia, brother and defence minister under the murderous Lucas Garcia dictatorship in Guatemala... the Contras armed also... Israel's very existence is proof that Terrorism Pays!

An Irgun operative called up the Brits about a half hour before the bomb was set to explode in the King David Hotel and told them to get out. The idea was to rout the Brits and let them know they were not secure. The Brit commander being an arrogant imperialist chose to ignore the warning. He was not going to be scared away by a bunch of "sheenies and wogs". The result is known, the rest is history.

Israel was founded by terrorists, of that there's no doubt. The foundation of Israel was a victory for terrorism. It takes quite a bit of chutzpah to argue that the Palestinians must forever remain under occupation because to do otherwise would "reward terrorism" and unleash a genie from the bottle that will destroy civilisation. That genie has already been released - many times. They do have one point - Israel says that the Palestinians won't help but use terrorism in the future just as they kept using terrorism after they got their state. Another case of projection. In the end, the Israelis are just going to have to accept that as they prevent the end of the occupation that in 2014, Arabs will become the majority in Israeli-controlled land and a one-state solution will eventually be adopted.

The Palestinians never got their own state. The Gaza Strip is not a state. It is in complete Israeli and Egyptian control on its borders and they have full control of what gets in and out.

I said that the Israelis kept using terrorism after getting their state - the Israeli state.

Israel says that the Palestinians won't help but use terrorism in the future just as they (the Israelis) kept using terrorism after they got their state.

When the Israelis conduct an operation they do everything they can to minimize casualties among innocent bystanders, seriously they put their Intelligence Agents in more danger because they try to avoid civilian casualties.

Mordechai Gur, Israeli Chief of Staff in 1978 and Labour politician, a "moderate", was asked in 1978 during the first invasion of Lebanon, Operation Litani, “You maintain that the civilian population should be punished?” Gur responds: “And how….I have never doubted it, not for one moment….For thirty years from the War of Independence to this day we have been fighting against a population that lives in villages and towns…"

Looks like the Palestinians "somewhat" succeeded. Arial Sharon said in 2005 that the cost of providing security to settlements in Gaza was too expensive so they got out.

Gaza is a garbage pit. It was a mistake for Israel to annex it after the 1967 war.

Well, Israel would've been under intense pressure from settlers to occupy it anyway. The settlers today vow to "one day resettle Gaza". I can only imagine how angry the settlers are. First the Sinai now Gaza.

Israel's neighbors committing terrorist actions, killing civilian commuters with machine guns and bombs, launching rockets with emplacements in their own residential areas into Israeli residential areas, and generally being a pain for anyone who would want to live in peace? No? What else is new? Certainly not all members of every population of Israel's neighbors are crazier than rabid squirrels, but the ones who are certainly are and they continue to make living in peace an unattainable goal.
