Should the death penalty be extended to heretics in the USA and not only be reserved for those ungodly persons who kill police officers in the line of duty?

For example, if the Westboro Baptist Church of Kansas or Mormonism of Utah (both valid, non-profit, tax-exempt God-fearing religions) declare a member to be a heretic, should the USA simply jump on the bandwagon and dispatch the heretic - perhaps after conducting a kangaroo trial (to keep costs down)?

Precedent for this:

If Obamacare can reform health care in America, then the death penalty for those who reject the moral authority of non-profit churches such as Westboro and Mormonism can be reformed too.

Anything is possible in a democracy?

Basic principle: Heretics who think and oppose any non-profit, tax-exempt, God-fearing religion have no right to life.

Just repeal the 1st amendment and you can kill them. But you'll need votes from a lot of people who would end up on a death list. That might be a tricky sale.

I think you may be daft. We do not punish heretics from various religions in this country. This the U.S.A. and as long as the first Amendment is the Law there will be no mistreatment of heretics.

Which is EXACTLY why we need to start talking secession. The conservatives can revise the constitution to keep American family values in place in the new Republic of Dmfkistan, and the libs can completely chuck it for the Democratic People's Republic of America. It's all good.

first of all The Westborough Baptist Church is a hate group didnt you know? Pastor Fred Phelps has 4 websites
www.godhatesfags.com
www.godhatescanada.com
www.godhatesamerica.com
www.godhatesswedes.com
and some of Pastor Phelps most famous quotes are Thank God for 9/11 and AIDS is the Cure for Fags.
now this person should be put on the death penalty hell i may just assasinate him tomorrow he is a threat to society that spreads his hate everywhere and a perfect shining example of why im an AntiTheist RELIGION IS THE SOURCE OF MOST EVIL IN THIS WORLD

exactly i may be AntiTheist nut as an American Patriot of the likes not seen since the Revolution Era(there not much like me unfortunelatly but quite a few) i am a STRONG CONSTATUTIONALIST and the first amendment protects religions and the USA does NOT act against a religion unless it currently is performing inhumane acts such as human sacrifice and slavery then and only then is the religion not allowed

I would hate to see the United States break up, but then again, it would probably provide us Canadians with business opportunities with the successor states, so, do whatever you guys want 8)

You'd be first against the wall :) Although I don't think I'd be too far off.
