As a theist I can imagine not believing in God and unless one is Calvinist, most Christians would admit that unbelief, wholly obviously to them not the best choice, is still an option. What are your thoughts?

Statistically, I find it quite strange to not believe that some sort of higher being had something to do with the creation of our world. Belief in a certain god is something that you have to figure out for yourself though.

It doesn't matter to me one way or the other what anyone else believes; however, when people start justifying social policy based on religious belief, they should be prepared to have both the policy and the belief challenged.

Be nice could we approach a serious question seriously.

Seriously, apart from the obvious implications of a universe designed to permit free will, there is not a whole lot of belief system.

Love the Lord and your neighbour - no theology in there. Nothing to rule out the AA higher power, even.

And having unbelieved, of course it is far from unthinkable.

As an unbeliever vice versa - while recognizing it as inferior to my considered position, I perfectly understood other people not being there. After all, some people are transformationalists. Some are vegetarians.

It's impossible to separate faith and action without saying that one or the other is irrelevant. "I believe this, it does not matter what I do." "I am doing this, it does not matter what I believe." I'm wondering, is this a type of secularized version of the faith-and-works debate that began with the Reformation?

Frankly, i dont know why a individual would have to be one in one denomination or the other.
Obviously, if what your following is the truth, god would approve. and want as much people in his kingdom as possible So?

What do you mean by "ok"? Logically ok ... or emotionally ok?

I say that it's ok both ways as long as you confess that atheists are equally (if not more) justified in not believing in what you believe.

If I was a troll, I'd just yell no and laugh in your face, but I'm not.

I'm and atheist, and if you want to believe in god, go right ahead; I'm not going to stop you or try to persuade you otherwise.
