Not a fan. They use the "Environment" as an excuse to tax the balls off people.
Yep.
Also, they call themselves GREEN, but under their own mission statement in this country, planting trees, the bastion of what is green and pure and carbon abating, is a non-viable carbon abatement measure. According to the green's own words, a mission statement that in 2007 was 290-odd pages long and is now barely 100 for all they've cut out of it, the ONLY way to mitigate so-called CO2 warming is to kill industries. The very industries, ironically for a party all about the socialist collective welfare of 'workers' that employ the most people.
The problem with the greens is that they call themselves green and smile a lot and spout homilies like you wouldn't believe in order to appear cuddly. People see them as a protest vote and then wonder where all this talk of increased taxation and socialism comes from once their elected.
I never thought I would actually say this, but bring back the Australian Democrats. They were at least centrist. Something sadly lacking in the world today.
From a proud conservative, I think that says it all...
