I disagree with them saying that the economic growth is the only thing giving their communist government legitimacy, their brutal authoritarianism is what stops the threat of any possible uprising. They have shown that they have no problem with killing their own people by the thousands and know that no country will dare intervene to stop them. The cracks are forming but I think we're still a generation or so away from their being any significant internal problems for China.
