Wiccans?

Im trying to find someone like me who believes in wicca or somethings in wicca because i do and i can find know other autistic that may believe in this to i feel very alone when it comes to this.
I know with me its hard to understand this religon and i was wondering if there are people whos autistic like me and believe this to is it also very hard for you to understand? but somehow you manige to do the best job you can with understanding it?

What about Wicca do you find difficult to understand?

I find it hard to understand that they don't see a complete muppet whenever they look in the mirror

While I am not wiccan... I am a pagan. My husband is a wiccan priest though, so if you have questions, I can always ask him for you.

I do not really have a hard time understanding some aspects of wicca... the thing that always gets me confused is the variety within the faith. Some people go on a greek or roman or egyptian bent and I tend to not be overly interested in those gods so it can be hard for me to really get into it all. Plus I hate writing rituals. I am not keen on participating in them either... if one more person tries to get me to stomp around with a staff yelling "AVANTE" I might just hit them with the staff and that kinda goes against that whole love and trust thing...

or have others know inless ive knwon them well for a very long time. But as for anything elts on advice on trying to understand things like the gods and things. the only things id ask is lets say i believe theres a meaning behind the storeys of the gods but i dont take the storeys litterly. But i do believe in them and things just in a strange way.

My wife is a nonpracticing wiccan priestess and we were married in a wiccan ceremony that I helped write - that incidentally had no stomping around in it.

There are a lot of different varieties of wicca. In the traditions I'm familiar with, the faith is based more on nature than on an explicit pantheon.

i'm not a wiccan but i am a pagan whose beliefs are practically wiccan. wicca and other pagan religions can be hard to define since they allow members to form their own beliefs and don't enforce their own beliefs on others. it would be easier to answer your questions if there were questions but if you don't want to ask any of us then im sure your library will have a selection of books on the topic- i know mine has a great deal on it- which will expose you to the different forms of paganism and wicca including all its sub branches ( gardenian, celtic, dianic, etc).

You are attracted to Wicca but you are having a hard time with some of the concepts? I know Gardenerian / ritual Wicca can be a bit heavy handed in the doctrine. There was an author that advocated for a more simple, nature based, personal version of pagan belief - look for any book by Scott Cunningham. Many of his works are loved by solitaries.

They are very different. There are several different traditions in Wicca - some are very formal and rigid in their practice, others more fluid... Cunningham sort of tosses the labels away and concentrates on the spirit of it.

This is impressive. Wicca, a faith that was pretty much created in the 1950s (the early Christians were really good at tracking down practitioners of the Old Ways back in the day), is schismatic already.
