That's why I think the best thing to do is stay away from the middle east. It's amazing to see how so close these countries are and yet how many wars and prejudices they have toward eachother. That's not to say the U.S. or western countries for that matter aren't involved...

I personally think we need to stop funding Israeli troops and get the hell out of there. But I'm only speaking on behalf of my country.

Lebanon's fate was sealed after the Six-Day War. France downgraded its relationship with Israel and Israel responded by declaring open season on Lebanon. They killed hundreds of Lebanese between 1968-75. The worst of course came after the Camp David accord. The deal was signed in '77 and the first full-scale invasion took place in '78. When everything was finished with Camp David, the 1982 invasion happened.

Thanks for the link. I've been wanting to study the history of the Lebanese civil war.

This might be interesting, i've been a bit curious lately ever since i've come across a (very) charming lebanese collegue in the department. :p Also thinking of going to a party organised by the lebanese association of my university to which she's invited me, of which she's the current president executive (i think so... But at least she's in it =/ ). But i think she already has a BF. ^^; Oh well. :o Sorry for being slightly offtopic. ^^;
