This morning, I got news that I passed an important certification test, but was still having problems in school and maybe would be one class short of graduating. My mom told me I did a great job, then struck me with terror when she said about the other class:

"I'll pray for you."

It was then I got the sobering reminder that despite all these atheist views I have, I would never be able to say it to them. That of course makes me a hypocrite. So first, I am dropping out of the Strident Atheist race because there are some people who I just cannot say these things to and it would cloud my judgment.

Second, there was an incident that got me riled and I wrote a scathing post to try to absolutely crush them. I was about to hit the Send button when I realized that of all the hatred and "abhorrent" posts I have shown on this thread, that THIS would be the one to get me banned based on the circumstances (which is probably horrifying to people who have seen my previous ones).

So I am going on a leave of absence to try to cool down. Hopefully it will be short, but I do not know I will be back. If someone says something to me after this post, I hope they will know I will not answer it for a while. I will still check PM's every once in a while.

So the last thing is if any moderator is looking right now, please lock the threads made by me about the Strident Atheist race. Also please lock this one as well. I just had to tell people because I was in something rather important to the PPR forum, and I believe it would be the best to post here although it seems out of place.

Thank you for reading.

NOT that it is any of my business, but I have been a family member for a few years now, and I do not think that intrafamilial interchanges should be seen as detracting from essential stridency.

Everyone needs a vacation now and then. Especially from PPR, since too much time spent here leads to either madness or Sparta.

HG leaving for a while? This election is much less exciting now. I'd better start working on more utterly impartial research on the remaining candidates
