Does anybody remember what time of year the media's official; "Silly Season" was? Of course on the web it is incessant.

I ask because of the incredible proliferation of content-free posting here, not all of which is the Stridulating Atheists' pseudo-mudslinging.

Just when I thought we were out of the "Is the Furrin Fascist Pedophile Pope of Rome Elvis" doldrums.

It is messing up statistics on the threadkilling count, I tell you.

Be that as it may:

A serious question:

Are there enough serious discutants, with enough real difference in viewpoint, to sustain meaningful discussion in the three principal topic areas, if the heavy water and hot air were taken away?

I think silly season coincides with the depths of summer. Things always go a bit weird and reality gets a bit fuzzy. I don't think it's silly season proper yet (though I might be thinking of a different silly season)

Likely not, I would guess, and yet the discussions here will nevertheless never end ...

... and minds definitely will be accordingly affected/effected.

And does hot air contribute to anthropogenic climate change?

Nope, yet it is nevertheless a dominant factor to be navigated/circumvented until we at least get things cooled back down a bit.

Dare we suggest that seen from the standpoint of homeopathy the Anthropogenic Global Hot Air might in fact be curative?

It seems obvious at least some folks believe it therapeutic.
