Hmmm, interesting, i already knew about quite a lot of these "beliefs" that weren't true, actually. <.< Except for the military code.

Islam is only as good or as bad as its adherents. If the book says one thing and its adherents behave like barbaric, backward, women-hating psychos, which one do we believe?

Still, if the tenants aren't so bad (which people once insisted to me on here that they are), as this article shows, than there is hope. Don't persecute the religion, persecute the extremists. If I was to follow your logic I would hate Christianity for its homophobic, anti-scientific, condescending, sexist, and otherwise backwards views. Oh, but wait! Only a minority of Christians are like that. Oh well, following your logic I'll still hate all Christians.
