Been a while since I gave you one of these, and he just came up talking to dionysian.

This link will not require you to know Latin or Middle English [though he is fun in the Anglic with some nice northern dialect that you don't get to see that much of]:

That is an updated though not perfectly Mod Anglic version of Incendia Amoris by Richard Rolle of Hampole, who was called to be a mystical hermit, persuaded his sister to alter two of her dresses to be habits for him, and ran off into the woods.

We of course understand that one man's nonsense id often another's ultimate wisdom, and vice versa - as we two repeatedly demonstrate.

Rolle is, frankly, too far in the direction of emotion for me to get his full impact. But I have gotten far enough toward a theory of minds [NOT "theory of mind", you comprehend] to recognize that it is A real thing.

Ha ha again.

Ernest Thompson Seton around in your day?

As far as I know it is not recorded for posterity what his sister thought of the deal - or what he looked like.

Depends upon which woods, of course, but nature is not kind to naked old men indulging in their dementia.

There is a picture. Let us know which patch of woods, could you?
