That "why are Conservatives more hated than Liberals" thread? You know? Is it so or are we just assuming here? So help me out.

I just wishg I could participate. Unfortunately, I have a probably bad habit of relating to actual people as individuals. I think I may dislike more Liberals than Conservatives - simply because I know more of them and know more about their views. But I really can't generalize.

So - where does one put Conservatives or Liberals, whichever you dislike, relative to other things you really dislike.

For example, I dislike Chomsky more than mayonnaise - about my least favorite alleged foodstuff. I think I likely dislike Oprah less than mayonnaise.

And so on.

In the original thread, it was just taken for granted in the head that Conservatives ARE more disliked by Liberals. I did ask "by whom?" but there was no response. Probably implying that the poster believes EVERYBODY hates Conservatives more than Liberals, which seems unlikely on the face of it.

Haha for a moment I thought you were asking whether we dislike conservative food or liberal food more... I was thinking "wait, what the hell is conservative food?"

There was actually a thread about that - JakobVirgil was maybe responsible?

Conservative steaks are well done - moving them off the grill involves unnecessary change?

Liberal serving sizes are bigger?

Libertarians help themselves?

Communists share their candy bar with a friend?

And the Greens eat veggies?

You start by asking a fair question "Are conservatives really hated more than liberals?"

It seems to me that both creeds are hated roughly the same.

But then you descend into both sillyness, and into your signature opaqueness. The poll is absolutely imcomprehensible.

Do you like chocolate cake as much as you like the design of the Moma museum?

Its comparing unlike things (food and archetecture) , And its both a food and building that not everyone agrees on.

Thats what you're trying to do here. Comparing contraversial peaches to contravereial pears.

Well, sorry about that. If I am opaque it has in most cases to do with mdental polarization.

Where do you find a benchmark for dislike?

I seriously dislike MS. I seriously dislike TG.I can compare the two levels of dislike [they are in those cases - identities withheld for obvious reasons - pretty much identical in level].

But I cannot say, "How much do you dislike the average Liberal of your acquaintance relative to Carol L?" because you PROBABLY do not know Carol L and even if you do [were you in New Haven in 1956?] you very probably do not dislike her as much as I do.

I figured - rightly or wrongly, just trying to find a benchmark here - that most people probably dislike their least favorite food at close to the same level. And I at least can rate Carol L relative to mayonnaise.

If you have a better metric which will get us to an answer, I would gladly use it.

That is why I set it out as the individual's most disliked food - Herself's list is totally different from mine, though I think her level of disgust is close to mine for the bottom -most food.

Whatever.I suspect [is this sour grapes?] nothing is going to get good data on levels of distaste.

MS - like the other initials - is a seriously disliked person from my past, one who actually got me [briefly] fired - a complex story typical of today's academia. For a number of excellent reasons I disguise MS, the Blonde Bombshell, K Vogel, Wee Coryl, and others.

Philologos, I'm guessing you do all this on purpose to try to confuse us and make us pull our hairs out as we attempt to decode your holy mysterious divinely encrypted messages of wisdom and knowledge while you sit behind that special computer screen of yours and laugh away. Do you feel godly power by doing so?
