Other conditions are just the same as the other question.

Would you commit genocide to save yourself or, yourself and people whom you love?

And why?

I wouldn't have made a choice. I don't let aggressors dictate the situation anymore than they already have. Instead, I'd go after the alien's throat, thorax, gills, testes, eyes, soft spongy head, ship's self-destruction button, or any crack in their defense, even if was a suicide mission.

I'd risk suicide to save myself and everyone. I guess my belief that some kind of life exists after this one allows me to do that.

I do not know why this question suddenly made me think about Camus:

“There is but one truly serious philosophical problem, and that is suicide. Judging whether life is or is not worth living amounts to answering the fundamental question of philosophy. All the rest – whether or not the world has three dimensions, whether the mind has nine or twelve categories – comes afterwards. These are games; one must first answer [the questions of suicide].”

Unless I've been horribly misinterpreting Camus, he basically says that there's no big "purpose" to life and that you should just find something that makes you happy and do it, but that doesn't give you a licence to be an immoral prick.

I was not interpreting him. The question mainly just made me think about this a little.

To me...Forgotten to say..what would be the result of the genocide in the previous question? As long as it would not affect my livelihood and my way of living, I would perhaps commit it.

You seem like too much of a pleasant person to do that, I'm sure you would cook up an alternative if you really were in that situation.

Maybe I'm completely wrong

Your post made me think about morals again...alas..And love, etc..all restraints..

Although I am absolutely not pleasant now, but at least I am trying to fulfil myself with hope.

Sometimes I love others, sometimes I do not. My inconsistent emotions make me another new person fairly often. Thank you for your post  It makes myself feel a little more unselfish, and that is what I need now, perhaps...

Huh, that one's too easy. I'd easily kill myself.

And metaphysics a sweet person?

Why hitherto everyone here has chosen to kill him/herself?

Do you think that ourselves are rather unworthy compare to a whole ethnic group?

Even this question could hardly be real, thinking about more reasons for our choices is actually harmless.

I'd opt for killing the entire human race. Why? No witnesses.

Not the entire human race. Only one ethnic group.

But since you have opted to do so, this could be another new option, as the other question did not say the entire human race.

But how could one live without any other human beings? I am so curious!

i had a recurring nightmare as a child. i used to dream that someone gave me a choice to either:

bear a large heavy weight that would crush me (like a boulder the size of a washing machine)
~or~
watch my sister get killed (this was also the default if i refused to choose)

i couldn't ever make the choice. i would wake up extremely distressed from indecision and anguish over the horrible options. in my dream, i came face to face with the fact that i don't know if i would save myself or save someone else, given the choice.
