The Cloud author [http://www.ccel.org/ccel/anonymous2/cloud.toc.html - known pretty much by speculation] is very different from Richard Rolle. He matches Herself's head well, but I find him in his way as hard to get my head around as Rolle.
This is typical - the Cloud type is not so much alien to me as outside my comfort zone. The Fire of Love type is not beyond me, just alien. Interestingly, to judge by Herself and her sister, Rolle and Cloudman could probably have communicated fairly well, and not just because they are both [a few decades and probably some distance apart] writing Middle English.
