"Proof" is antithetical to the entire basis of the scientific process, and would have rendered it stagnated millenia-ago as a means of understanding reality,
much like religion.

Proof in science involves repeatability of effects whereas every time people plead to God to repeat a miracle He seems busy somewhere else and he is extremely shy. It's a difficult personality problem.

there are only two proofs possible on a internet forum.
Math proofs and proofs of dishonesty
the first is easy.

the second is not hard if a person says first says.

Quote:
Well Curly (which is kinda an ironic name given your bald head)

http://cdn.wrongplanet.net/postxf163822-0-60.html
and then later says
Quote:
I wasn't aware you were bald in real life, would you rather I had called you Larry or Mo?

http://www.wrongplanet.net/postxf163007-0-285.html

that is kinda an internet forum proof.

but about atoms not really.

There are no proofs in science. Only empirical support of hypotheses or empirical falsification thereof.

There are only proofs in mathematics. Or there are counter examples which is absolute proof of falseness.

An exercise in futility. Facts aren't proven through internet debate. They are proven through actual evidence, of which atoms, evolution and global warming have plenty of whereas God , creationism, homeopathy and most conspiracy theories do not. Winning a Internet debate is not in itself any sort of evidence in any topic. And failure to do it is not proof against any theory nor is it a proof for other theories that could not win an internet argument.

Debate, at best, is a college sport. At worst it is misleading and in the middle it is a waste of time.

In modern science, it's provisionally verified that atoms exist. It's not provable.

The "atom" is a theoretical concept. There are observed phenomena that approach this concept sufficiently to permit these joined observations to acquire the name "atom", but there are distinct differences between what is observed and the original concept of tiny discrete objects. There are times when this thing can act as a wave phenomenon and times when it is a particle. The process of science is always to propose a concept and search out matching sets of observations. There are always differences that must be taken into account.

Its impossible to illustrate such a claim a priori. You have allow for evidence to be used. Besides, atoms themselves don't strictly exist, rather they a theoretical framework that describes a set of observations. An alternate theory that agrees with fact to the same degree would have to be regarded as equally valid.

In any case, the pursuit of knowledge requires us to accept certain claims as true; the validity of the senses being one, the homogeneity of laws throughout the universe being another.

The Bible?

------------

"atoms and particles can't be seen and God can't be seen, atheists believe in atoms but they don't believe in God."..... something like that, I think I have read this in this forum before.

LOOK at them?
That just proves that all that exists are sensory impressions!
