Did you make a typo, or did you mean it the way you wrote it?

Did you mean "If we give up our civil liberties, the terrorists win"( ie giving them up is itsself a victory for the enemy).

Or did you mean to say that we have to give up our civil liberties to defeat the terrorists?

( Some might say both statements are true- the choice is between defeat and pyhric victory.)

The way to win is to go lower than your enemies and attack from below.

In a war the only thing that matters is victory. It is bad to lose.

I would never use the phrase "then the terrorists win" in seriousness. The terrorists will never win. The fascists will win, though, if we don't defend against them.

I wonder how Inuyasha and I are going to fight about this one.

On the one hand, it was started by President Bush, and the Democrats campaigned against it, so therefore, by definition, he loves it.

On the other hand, it was extended by President Obama, so therefore, by definition, he is violently opposed to it.

Fox News is too puzzled to declare a position, so he doesn't yet know what to think.

Okay, fine. I resent President Obama for signing the Patriot Act.
