^ The point is that theists oppose gay marriage as if they were forgetting that marriage has stopped having anything to do with religion about a century ago. In other words, opposing homosexual marriage on religious grounds is as dumb and inappropriate as opposing atheist marriage . This contract between couple has long, looong ago stopped to follow the bible. Thus Christian religion is not a great argument whatsoever against gay marriage, because we have long ago stopped caring about it in our legislation.
So, the question to Christians is why do they believe they are still entitled to deciding what kind of marriage should be legal as all the arguments that they use to oppose gay marriage already contradict most of the stuff society is already allowing.
And then the article becomes creepy, because it is a warning. If you let theists win this one, they will not take long before they attempt to forbid marriage between people that don't want to have children or are not religious.

How can a religious person say gays should not be allowed to get married without also saying Atheists who are not going to have children should not be allowed to get married? There's no way to deny it to gays without also denying it to Atheists, based on your own arguments!
And Atheists - that should freakin' scare the hell out of you.

The author of the referenced item is clearly absolutely ignorant of the cases and places where Christian traditions recognize as special couples continent for God or separating into monastic settlements.
Or rather, you lose points for not being able to understand the article at all.
Quote:
Of course, alleged theists making the alleged statements would be equally ignorant.
"alleged". Please stop pretending that those arguments aren't the first thing that floods any discussion about same sex marriage.
