I have noticed that the politically conservative - which today means Liberal / Progressive / Democrat, Republicans and big-C Conservatives being oddballs and radicals - majority here runs a lot of threads talking about how stupid / evil / offensive their enemies are.

I mean to say "I Hate Glenn Beck"? Sheesh, enough already.

Okay, I was brought up in the days of "I Like Ike", not "Kick the Rascals Out". But I am tired, frankly, of "Christian Women should shut up" and "Tea Partiers eat Liberal Babies" and "How many Republican Presidential Candidates Does it Take to Change a Light Bulb" - answer - Four, one to hold the bulb, two to turn the lamp, and one to watch out for the CFL enforcement van"

So - a plea. Could the politically conservative [Liberal / Progressive / Democrat] majority just try talking about Liberal / Progressive / Democrat people and policies they like and admire, instead of going on about Republican / Conservative / Tea Party people and policies they despise?

If Inuyasha starts a thread, "Arvid Mandelstamm [R-Hawaii] is a God", then, sure, come in with critique. But could we START positive ?
