Many people seem to want to make the Israeli Arab and or the Israeli Palestinian Conflict about religion while it is true that Palestine is holy to Judaism Christianity and Islam the fact is that not all Palestinians are Muslims there are Palestinian Christians and Arab Christians that were driven out by the Zionists.

There are also Israeli Arabs and Israel Christians, and atheist Israelis for that matter. Israel is, for all its faults, a Parliamentary democracy.

Arab Israelis can vote, sit in the Knesset and the Cabinet, serve on the courts, in the military and in the public service. Arab Israelis differ from their Jewish compatriots only in the applicability of the Law of Return. No such privilege was extended to blacks under apartheid.

Now, that is not to say that the lot of Palestinians who are not Israelis citizens is on the same level as Israeli Arabs, but drawing parallels to apartheid is an insult to both South Africans who lived under that regime, and Israeli Arabs who are more than mere tokens.
