Why the hell can't you tell a compelling narrative, something like this?

Aside, of course, from the obvious fact that your bankster donors wouldn't like it.

Honestly, Canadian politics is apparently legendary for it's "boringness", but at least it hasn't degenerated into the substanceless drivel and entertainment US politics exemplifies.

That was absolutely brilliant! I hope Canadians don't mind if American Democrats steal the idea for this commercial. I know I'd steal it!

I have yet to spot the entertainment factor in American politics - but them most TV entertainment leaves me cold, if Oprah and Dr Phil do it for you maybe US politics will.

Jenga derives from the Swahili verb glossed "build" There is an irony in the fact that a big part of the game is not the building but the removal of components.

You really were serious when you said that you didn't follow politics. The fact that photos of a man's weiner make for a bigger story than double digit unemployment (when you count discouraged workers) DEFINITELY indicates that entertainment trumps serious matters.

Meh the Democrats are probably going to use every dishonest tactic in the book, including using that advertisement to lie and blame Republicans, small business owners, and anyone else they can.

The Republicans will do the same thing except they will blame the Democrats.

When have Democrats ever blamed small business owners? The fact of the matter is, Republicans have been pulling out the financial base of the social safety net, and have been redistributing it to the super rich at the top. I fail to see how that criticism of Republicans isn't true.

In spite of the tremendous, objective evidence that the Republicans and country club conservatives have been impoverishing the base of America to enrich the wealthy few, it's all untrue because Glenn Beck told him so.

The last three years almost every time Obama is speaking, he is attacking small business owners, calling them millionaires and billionaires that flying around on their private jets. Nevermind the fact someone whom makes $250,000 a year couldn't even afford to maintain a private jet, it takes $3 million a year to maintain those private jets.

The average small business owner earns $44,576 according to CareerBuilder with a range from about $35K -$64K.

Obama's no where near small business owner territory. It's myth propagated by big business owners.

I seriously do not follow politics, but even I am hardly so far out in the country as to have failed to hear of the Congressperson's poor choices.

But I fail to find that entertaining, even if the addressees were more amused that Queen Victoria.

I did not find Mr. Clinton's sax play [not a typo] entertaining. My brother in law likes a saxophone, though.

Some witticisms attributed to Mr Lincon, though, were pithily entertaining.

Yep. I don't know a single small business owner who takes more than $150K in personal income.

Interesting how he made a nebulous statement about "protecting the base" and only barely unclouded his gas by saying that he'll "protect jobs". The "New Democrats" of Canada sound a whole lot like the Democrats of the USA, if this is any example of the vague campaign promises meant to buy votes from gullible masses. "Change", "reform", "protecting the base", "droves of workers, vote for me and I'll somehow protect your employment in a yet to be specified manner which may include sitting on my butt and doing nothing!" but only after the proper amount of character assassination of his opponents, since it's easier to destroy than to construct.

So... we're just supposed to let the nation's collective wealth go to the top, because to criticize that allow it to happen is character assassination? Can you honestly tell me that you think all the wealth being redistributed to the top is a good thing?

This pretty much shows the extent to which you're isolated from the real world. Every attempt by the Democrats to do something about the economy has been obstructed by the morons conservatives like you vote in. While some of the problem is with Democratic politicians being bought by wealthy elites who oppose necessary moves to create jobs (i.e. bankers who insist that privatizing Social Security should come before creating jobs), much of it is do to Republicans watering down stimulus bills and holding the debt ceiling hostage in order to cut spending (which, in a recession, KILLS JOBS). But I guess if you were capable of accepting the truth you wouldn't habitually vote against your interests.

And, strictly speaking, the NDP does have very specific plans for job creation. While I certainly don't agree with the overemphasis on tax credits and small business reductions (it's horribly misleading to claim that "small businesses create the most jobs), those are certainly specific proposals.
