Can anyone debunk this Liberal claim thank you the Person is saying higher Income Tax creates a Incentive to create Jobs is there really any Incentive to hire new Workers if you as the Owner of the Company is/are paying youself less money to avoid higher Taxes also how do tax cuts give the Owners a Incentive to hire ?

Thom Hartmann: But it seemed, just common sense. I remember back in the ‘80s, I owned a business, International Wholesale Travel in Atlanta, Georgia. That business has, since we sold it done over 200 billion dollars in business. And there was a year when we were doing really, really well and I could either write a big check to myself or not. And I decided not to, because I didn’t want to pay the increased taxes. I put it back into the business. How can cutting taxes on rich people, on high income people, do anything other than encourage them to take the money out of their companies, out of their businesses.

Having more money to invest is an incentive to expand the size of one's business and even branch into new markets. If followed through this will require the hiring of qualified people to actually carry out the expanded business plan.

The notion that capitalists are hoarders who stuff their gains into a mattress is just plain wrong. Most entrepreneurs are adventurers. The same sort of people who sailed their ships over the horizon or climbed over the mountain just to see what was on the other side.

Inventors, entrepreneurs and such like are rather free spirits who like to do what they can do just to show that they can do it.

pandabear, the Liberal Claim is debunked when you just use basic elementary level mathmatics. I don't know what it is about Ivy League Liberals that aparently are so smart and at the same time so stupid that they have absolutely no understanding of reality.

It could go either way. If you're paying higher taxes on your personal income, why not leave them in the company instead of taking them out? But then again, why grow the company to make an even bigger profit, if you'll just have to pay higher taxes on that as well? Bottom line is that people will try their damnedest to make money as long as they get to keep some of it, whether it's 10% or 90%. And yes, we had a 90% tax rate right here in the USA, and people didn't just give up or leave the country. There is, however, one huge advantage to raising the top tax rates: it will prevent business models designed to make a lot of money up-front and then fail spectacularly (see: housing crisis). Why? Because people won't be able to take home enough money in a year or two to make it worth wrecking the job, company, or entire industry that pays them.

Tax brackets don't work that way. Any business owner who doesn't understand that is a moron. And probably a tea party member.

If the scary black man imposes a high tax on people who earn more than $250k/yr, and you earn $255k/yr, that high tax applies to $5k of that $255k.

Don't try to explain piecewise linear functions to teabaggers. They'll just think you're making up words.

Considering Herman Cain won the Florida Republican Straw Poll, your claims about Republicans and Tea Party people being racist have been disproven. Keep it up and maybe we should start calling you "Race-Card Sam."

funny thing is, denmark was barely hurt by the recession and we have a maximum tax rate of some 62 percent or something like that.

So, go ahead and give us a demonstration of your mastery of basic elementary mathematics. Debunk the claim, or it remains bunked.

When we had a 92% tax rate, men wore more suits. Naturally if we want to improve the dress code, we should go back to higher rates.

Typical liberal, whenever someone disagrees with your "annointed one" you always play the race card, got news for you, it doesn't work anymore.

What does Harry Potter have to do with Herman Cain?
