I want to let everyone know that I'm taking a permanent brake from political discussion. I'll still be around on the other subforums though. Just want to make sure nobody thinks I've fallen off the face of the earth or something.

Bye...

I'm glad you'll be sticking around WP in general. I enjoy your posts.

Ok. Anything cause this? Is it just that politics is a very touchy issue for you? Hope you're doing well, and your contributions were appreciated.

to the OP- yours was a calming voice of reason and a beacon of hope, of philosophical clarity, and enlightened self-interested compassion. you were a balm for my leftie spirit as well as a mental antidote to the teeming stinging scorpions in the PP&R bottle. :wtg: we need more like you.
you will be missed. :(

we go pretty hard here in PPR sometimes but we all share at least one thing in common, i'd hope nobody would take anything too personally.

Agreed, and it can be mentally/emotionally draining sometimes if you allow yourself to get sucked into it.

At one point I was spending so much time posting to PPR that I started having bad dreams about it. That's how I knew it was time to get away from WP for a while. What helps me limit my time is limiting my obsessions to one topic at a time. All discussions eventually reach a point where there's nothing really left to say, so after that I may be away for a week or two before I look at new topics. If I MUST get on WP, I find L&D and the musician/artist forums to be a breath of fresh air.

I hope the OP will eventually come back to PPR. Sometimes you just need time off. I'm glad marshall is at least sticking around in WP and not leaving us entirely...
