I read the first one yesterday and went, 'meh'.

I'm currently reading more of them, some of the others are really funny. I'm glad I went back to that site now.

The more you read, the funnier they seem to get. Also, there are explanations at the bottom in case you don't recognize the international incident that inspired a given cartoon.

Well partly the issue is that these are jocular and don't lead to pervasive racism.
