A pyramid is not an example of infrastructure spending. it's more an example of corvee labour. Inrastructure spending itself goes from what I know as far back as Roman times. However the Romans made the mistake of just ending up doling people out bread for the rest of a person's life rather than setting up a continuous infrastructure agency to get people to work for bread and a house. That and Rome was ruined by redundant, sclerotic bureaucracy.

Not really. Liberals believe that they can make something from nothing. Hence fiat money, subsidies, welfare. Liberals actually believe they can make a Gucci Bag from a Pig's Tuchus. That is why we have Project Head Start.

Not quite, Gucci Bags are expensive because they're made by Gucci. Which is a designer label so people will spend thousands of dollars on something just because it's made by Gucci. What I don't get is if they government is broke how do they expect to fix something by increasing spending. If we want to shrink the governments debt we should cut spending.
