Some of you will no doubt enjoy the interview videos towards the bottom of the link.

By the way, I think that Firing Line was a PBS show.

By the way, the debate over the CIA and FBI is intriguing.

It's a good interview. Pretty remarkable how consistent Ron's views have been since 1988 to now. I wonder what sorta positions our other friends that are seeking the GOP nomination in 2011 took back in 1988? I bet they're hardly recognizable as their beliefs are based almost purely on the political winds of the time.

My favorite part of the interview was the exchange about the Federal Reserve monetizing the debt between 11:20-11:48 in part 2 which Buckley ends by saying "when they do that, you can run again and be elected", and here we are today. :)

Interesting note: William F. Buckley's son Christopher supported Ron Paul in 2008 early before leaving his father's magazine and endorsing Barack Obama over John McCain.

I find it interesting also that Conservatives used to be so much more intellectual than they are today.

Now, they are extremely anti-intellectual.

Ron Ebenezer Scrooge Paul. Let Tiny Tim die if he does not have health insurance because it is not the governments problem.
