Do you say your prayers fast or slow?

Thing is, I'm sometimes told off whenever I space out
when I say my prayers. One person says that saying prayers
in a quick fashion is the right way to say them. Another person
says that saying prayers nice & slow is the right way.

So, do you say your prayers fast or slow?
