Yeah, I don't think Israel can afford to have radicals in its ranks. Too many foes and not enough allies.

Not so. There is no counterpart to Jihad in Judaism.

They're only similar in that some people take them both too far, to the point where they lose regard for humanity... Come to think of it, some Christians do too.

One of the things that help out Israel is the fact that they have a relatively small population. If it was bigger, I could see them carrying out worse things.

It's freer than most of the other countries in the Middle East and at least it is a democracy. That's not to say that Israel is perfect, though, but where is? I'd rather live in Israel than, oh, almost all the other Middle East countries.

To be honest, I can understand why they arrested him - considering where he was and what day it was and the Israeli nationalist nature of the day, they probably arrested him for his own safety. They would have been better off ignoring the idiot.

Also, you won't find people carrying that many flags in Britain! Good work.

He didn't hand over his passport when he was told to as he now admits. In many European countries, refusal to identify oneself will usually end in an arrest while they find out who you are.

Doesn't standing around in the middle of the street with your passport in hand roughly translate to "please rob me" in both Hebrew and Arabic? And also Chinese, Spanish, English, etc.

Oops, spoke too soon. I just watched the rest of that video. I forgot that in police code it also stands for "please beat my ass" :lol:

He was allegedly standing on a barrier as well according to that link. On a day like that in the place he was, as well as the illegal refusal to provide ID, the Israeli police aren't going to be very forgiving.
