They have failed horribly.

https://ashleyfmiller.wordpress.com/201 ... -ron-paul/
*Ron Paul is Anti-Free Market:
*Ron Paul Doesn’t Support Minorities:
*Ron Paul is Against Church/State Separation:
*Ron Paul is Rabidly Anti-Choice and Anti-Science:

Points proven extensively and through Ron Paul's own quotes and actions as a congressman.

Of course, you would expect this web celebrity to have quite a following. Unfortunately, his followers are quite awful people:

Quote:
ashleyfmiller, you are a sad, pathetic excuse of a human being. Do the world a favor and get a hysterectomy so you can’t weaken the gene pool anymore than it is. You’ve taken every one of his points out of context and clearly have no f*****g idea what you’re talking about. People like you RUIN this country and any real chance at change. He hasn’t violated his own philosophies, but sometimes I feel like someone should violate your civil liberties and lock you up for being a lying, hate mongering piece of scum that you are. Final note: you’re a c**t.

Quote:
Why do we support Ron Paul?

Because people like Ashley F. Miller are perfectly happy with the status quo.

But hey, I don’t have a vagina, so it’s not like I can get my rich banker boyfriends to pay my way through college like Ashley F. Miller.

Quote:
*Ron Paul is Anti-Free Market

Illegal immigration has nothing to do with the free market, and Alan Greenspan's actions while chairman of the fed were not consistent with libertarianism as the author seems to believe.

I am too tired to continue, but that article fails comically.

I dismissed Ron Paul long ago because the only people that I personally know who support him are all jerks.

How do the people that support Romney strike you?

Yes, generalizations are always good.

...

and to the OP:
Do you have any info beyond a highly opinionated blog post with a bunch of stuff taken out of context.

I don't see how any of those quotes would get a different meaning with added context. If you like to believe that, then feel free to include the full quotes with the whole context so that we can verify them.

Out of context and wholly unsourced, filled with half truths, ridiculous half baked conclusions, and just outright lies. Why are you posting this junk on here? You pick and choose to post a couple understandably angry posts commenting on an angry smear article but then ignore the responses that completely debunk her entire post. Inuyasha-esqe in it's depravity.

edit: oh jeez, I really need to look at usernames instead of avatars

I thought that the article was convincing and well written. Can you refute her major points?

I'm not going to read the OP's blog link. Ever since my days of reading the "Ron Paul Survival Report" blog (which, despite having a name based on one of Dr. Paul's newsletters, was actually an anti-Paul blog) I've realized that many of the good doctor's cult of personality followers can get quite dipshitty.

What really concerns me is the actual candidate. How can a Medical Doctor wash himself in anti-evolution crackpottery?

Romney is made of plastic as are many of his followers.

What are her major points? About half of the blog is based on the newsletter BS that most reasonable people admit Ron didn't write or have anything to do with so there really isn't anything to refute. She actually acknowledges in the blog post why people tend to believe Ron on this issue as there is nothing in his record to suggest that he is a racist. I can understand why some of his supporters would get angry at such a ridiculous accusation when we actually have real racists running around who impose racist policies on the entire country that don't get called on their actions.

If you were inclined to believe that Obama wasn't a racist anti-American psycho after attending a church with Reverend Jeremiah Wright for 20 years, then you shouldn't have any problem believing Ron, who didn't even write any of these articles, isn't a racist either.

Who was one of the few voices of sanity over that whole "Ground Zero mosque" fiasco? Who is the only candidate that is actually against racial profiling? He wants to end the War On Drugs and the Death penalty.

There are jerk Romney supporters, jerk Obama supporters, and I'm sure jerk Jack Layton supporters... There are jerks in every facet of life, no need to make vast generalizations.

When people throw out baseless accusations of racism(or anything else for that matter) against Ron Paul, I can understand why it might anger some people since you are essentially saying that they are by extension are racists themselves. Doesn't make them right

Maybe you guys shouldn't judge whole groups of people based on the foolish actions of a few. I don't think I have to say what that type of thinking leads to.

It's a fact that among his supporters is the founder of the Neo-Nazi site, Stormfront, and his idiot son, who had contributed financially to Paul's last campaign.
Now, a candidate can't choose who votes for him, but he certainly can refuse to take their money - or to take photos with them.
I will say this, though: Paul's younger supporters are mostly of an anti-racist bent.

A lot of the supporters of Ron Paul are conspiracy theorist lunatics. That's enough to make me be suspicious of him.

He can also refuse to have interview with people like Alex Jones.
