Oh you know...
Old white dude...
Long bushy beard...
Mystical gardens and long boat rides and whatnot...

This is him, I think:

A word used in reference by people who do not know His name.

What is god? It seems everyone has their own idea. If pressed to say I would say god is gravity, or infinity. But I hate the notion of god being a all powerful being that created the universe.

I agree. I believe that God and Nature are the same exact thing.

Julian Jaynes has most of the evidence in his favor: God is Schizophrenia from the Bicarmeral Brain.

I think of god as being Everything. Good and evil, male and female, living and inanimate, material and void. God is the Universe.

But what do I know, I'm just a human being, and a young one at that. I'm a skin condition on a watery speck of dust in a vacuum, what right do I have to fit God under my label? I reserve great distrust for people who claim to know the will and personality of God 100%.

But that said, I do think my guess is just a little more educated than, say, "Ra masturbated the world into existence" and "God is an ornery old man who will gladly condemn you to an eternity of excruciating agony and torture if you trim your beard... but he loves you!"

An ancient attempt to provide a simple, seemingly elegant answer to solve all of the questions of the natural world, that has somehow persisted to the modern age
