Cars powered by fecal matter. The drivers seat doubles as a toilet.

Implanted RFID tags.

You may not want them and be against them, but when the lights go out, you'll be begging for them.

As long as certain people who right now are above the law are transported in the tumbrils then it would be worthwhile.

Then we have 2 - 5 years and the same people are back in power, because ultimately they are the smart, manipulative and effective people, whereas the "We want a revolution" people ultimately are proven to be moronic pawns every single time. Tell me one revolution that didn't result in a worse scenario than what previously existed for the majority of people.

The American Revolution, in the long run. Or maybe not. Perhaps without an American Revolution we would have ended up like Canada is now. Which is not a bad way to end up.

Huh, I'm just waiting for mass production and practical application of carbon nanotubes, and the engineering feats that will come with it.

In Quebec, the standards for revolutions are very low. Hell, our two most important violent groups were the Patriots (who weren't actually just Quebecers, but whatever, we need myths here too) and the FLQ (who were so pathetic they weren't even financed by Moscow). Someone said about the current student protests that it was "the worst social crisis in Quebec history". I thought it was hyperbole, and it probably was; but when I thought about it, and didn't really find anything, I noticed we are so utterly boring that he might even be right.
