I will attempt to use some dubious logic to explain this.

Most of the people on WP are male, and that is largely true on this particular forum as well. As both candidates are male, that would imply most people voting based on homosexual attraction. Conservatives are generally not OK with this, while liberals generally are. So therefore only liberal candidates would be comfortable with being nominated, and puddingmouse said that she didn't want to upset anyone. So only liberals are fit to be nominated. (For the duration of this flimsy piece of logic I am living in a blissful world where libertarians don't exist and everything falls neatly onto a conservative/liberal/socialist political spectrum).

Oh, and I vote for Vigilans in an expression of solidarity for my fellow Canadian.
