Good news everyone! You can now sell your free internet for the amazing amount of 1 dollar the signature!

im still half way hoping they will pass, if only to draw out an alternative to the internet that would be ad-hoc and impossible to censor. (read tor or freenet)

on a more serious note it would literally kill any hope of a recovering economy, the legal battles would make many forms of starting E enterprise almost impossible.

Oh wow, a whole buck! I could make a local payphone call or have almost enough for a brand name soda. I might be able to even get two generic sodas! Should I get Shasta or Fagyo. Think of how much stuff I could get at the dollar general with that much dough. I could get like one thing! ...minus tax. OMFG!

It really goes to show you what they think of the average person. To think that's a real incentive is rather elitist. I wouldn't even sign it if they gave me 100 dollars. I love free speech and expression on the internet that much. They already have the power to internationally bust websites for copyright infringement. That seems like they already have enough power.

Tor and freenet have a long way to come before they would be viable as anything but a muse.
